What happens when thousands of students
in over 40 cities around the world
come together for a single cause?

JULY 15, 2017

“The best of people are those that bring most benefit to the rest of mankind”

Global Impact Day is an annual worldwide event based on AlMaghrib’s grassroots initiative we call IMPACT.

See, attaining knowledge is just the half of it. Since inception, AlMaghrib encouraged its local chapters to spearhead charitable projects at the local level. Because a real student of knowledge is one who brings valuable change to the community.

For years, local student chapters have been feeding the homeless, visiting the elderly, providing care packs to the needy, cleaning up highways and mosques, and more.

So what if all student teams around the world united for a single cause at the SAME TIME!

Tidal waves of hope, solidarity, and harmony will be felt around the world!

The IMPACT OF 2017 IS….

One day, the Prophet ﷺ said, “Take us to the man with vision who lives in Banu Waqif so that we can visit him.” And that man was blind.

It was a practice of the Prophet ﷺ and those who followed him to visit, care for, and treat with respect those whom are differently abled. While pre-Islamic societies kept them in isolation, the Prophet ﷺ welcomed and empowered them.

On July 15, local AlMaghrib chapters around the world will visit, bond and serve those with long-term illnesses and those whom are differently abled.

The impact of long-term illness hits every aspect of life. It can strain family relationships, restricts the ability to work, and raises the cost of accommodation and education.

The Prophet ﷺ said, “On the Day of Judgement, Allah will announce: O son of Adam, I was sick yet you did not visit me.

He will reply, ‘O Allah, how could I have visited You when you are the Lord of the worlds?

Allah will say: Did you not know that so and so slave of mine was sick, and yet you did not visit him? If you had visited him you would have found Me by him.”
